DEVELOPMENTAL HOCKEY
Developmental Hockey
The Weber County Ice Sheet offers hockey classes for beginners ages 3-18 in the months leading up to the start of hockey season (June-September).
All beginner hockey players are encouraged to take at least one session of Learn To Skate to become acclimated to the ice and begin practicing on Open Skate sessions. Stick & Puck sessions are open to beginners once they feel comfortable practicing on their own with other hockey players of varying skill levels, wearing full gear and handling a puck.
For the months September-March all beginners are encouraged to register for Weber County Jr Mustangs at their age group to participate in USA Hockey sanctioned practices and games. Ice Hockey groups all players by birth year with skill levels divided by team registration.

Beginner adults are invited to register for our on-going ODL program that accepts new players quarterly. ODL sessions typically run January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December. Some dates are subject to change due to ice schedule changes such as tournaments and maintenance. Dates and times currently offered are Wednesdays at 9:30 pm, Saturdays at 4:30 pm, and Sundays at 9:45 am.
